OSHA requires that everyone in your organization must wear face coverings. What are the best practices to avoid misuse of masks? Watch this fun video to learn how to wear a mask properly to mitigate your organization’s risk of an outbreak.

  1. Wash your hands properly!
  2. Cup the mask in your hand with the colored side in your palm.
  3. Place the mask over your nose and mouth with the metal strip on the nose and the colored side facing outwards.
  4. Place the loops over the ears and mold the mask against your face.
  5. Do not wear the mask inside out.

How to remove a glove:

The second video in this lesson will share tips and best practices on how to remove a glove. Earlier in the course, we reviewed bloodborne pathogens and their spread. You must follow proper glove disposal methods to prevent the risk of a bloodborne virus spread.

  1. Pinch the glove at the wrist level and peel it away from the hand, allowing it to fold inside out.
  2. Hold the removed glove in the gloved hand.
  3. Remove the second glove and fold it over the first glove.
