Strategies for Unlocking Subcontracting Opportunities

Sheila Bright · April 18, 2022

Course Description:

As a business owner, you are probably wondering about the best way to gain entry to the corporate supply chain as a supplier for large customers. The truth is that direct contracts, or becoming a prime supplier, is quite competitive. However, there are many other profitable ways to do business with big businesses and even the government. As a small and/or diverse supplier, you can bring value and niche expertise to prime suppliers by entering the corporate supply chain as a subcontractor. Once you are a subcontractor, there are ways to leverage exciting and continuous growth for your company.

Building on the 4-Step Framework introduced in Corporate Supply Chains Module 1, Module 2 focuses on subcontracting and explains how to analyze your capabilities and readiness to win contracts, then plan and implement your actions. You will learn how to map supply chains and research companies to uncover new business opportunities.

Throughout this course, you will review real-life examples plus tools and resources that will help you plan and execute on your plan to compete in the marketplace.
